Sadly, won't be running the half after all this Sunday. Doc says to take 3 weeks off .....
Basically, my foot started hurting back on the 11th after my long run. No stress fracture per MRI, but it looks like I might have a "stress reaction" or tendonitis. Either way, since I am easily converted to a super-slacker, I have no problem taking a 3 week break to give it time to heal!

:( So sad for you but the doctor is right, it's probably better to stay off it and allow complete healing. I know it can be tough, hang in there.

That stinks. Nothing like training for months to be hit at the last minute with an injury. Hope there are others in your future.

EEK! I hope it heals up real quick. Even if you can't run a 1/2, I know you enjoy just running. Take it easy!
Yuck! That totally sux~ I have so many races coming up. I'm trying to stay injury free.
