Oh gosh, please don't throw your shoe at the monitor. Would you be angry at me if I told you Caden has the PBK holiday bedding? He had the crib set and now he has the twin bed set? My mom got his twin bed for him 2 yrs ago for Christmas. She put the holiday bedding on it as part of the gift.
I would love to be able to have seasonal bedding for all of the rooms in my house. Unfortunately, we don't. Not to mention, pottery barn is a bit over priced. JMO though.
I am definitely not one to go all out with holiday bedding, but I do throw up some Christmas lights in the boys' bedroom and they love the night lights! :o)
I have a Christmas sheet that I bought to throw over gifts I refuse to wrap. I bought it 3 years ago for the train table. I am using it this year for the huge art easel. I actually used it for my daughter's birthday last year (in March) to cover up her bike. I'm tacky like that. Ahhhh, the Christmas sheet. I learned it from a widowed dad with 2 young boys who actually bought Xmas presents and put up a tree, but put all the presents under the tree, covered up by a sheet. Christmas morning his boys would count to 3 and pull off the sheet together.
As for actual seasonal decor, I say it's tacky and a blatant throwing away of money or showing that you have too much money.
Angry Julie's post sent me over :) Love your blog!

Julie, I think it's a totally OK grandparent purchase. But if you would have told me YOU bought it....... :-)
