I baked that bread y'all. Yup, I sure did. And it was easy-peasy as The Politician would say.
My friend Beth (who I really need to move from Friends in My Head to Friends In Real Life since we've totally text-messaged, and that qualifies us to be real friends right?) has blogged about her love of the book Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day and after reading all her posts about it and wiping drool off my keyboard, I finally decided to take the jump and order the book.
And my family is so glad I did. Nothing tastes better than fresh-out-of-the-oven-and-holy-crap-I-made-this-myself bread.
You can read more info in this blog post the book authors wrote, including step-by-step pictures to help you visualize the process.
Thanks Beth for all the help getting started! I am loving my new hobby!

Looks good!
There's nothing better than homemade bread! Sooooo good! Well, if someone else makes it. I've never actually made any of my own.
Way to go! It looks SO yummy!!!!
Oh hey, thank you so much for the shout-out! One of your readers (Rachael) checked out my blog and told me she'd seen it on yours--didn't realize what she meant until I saw this. Funny thing is, I told her the same thing, I want to meet you in real life. Maybe it's meant to be. :)
The bread looks awesome--you did a great job on your first loaf!! I'm so glad you love it!!
I live in between you two, so I think we should totally all meet up here. What do ya think? Sash has visited me a couple times and we had the best fun!
Now that bread looks amazing. I tried a "Beth recipe" this wk, too and it was awesome - Chicken Enchilada Chili! Sasha, it's a crockpot recipe.. :)
I think I need this book. Is it really THAT easy?
It is really that easy! I make the "american white bread" reicpe in the book a lot. Easy to just place the dough in a bread pan and get a nice loaf too. One batch makes 3 loaves.
