The Summer of Beer has long been a topic around here, and it's time to revisit it.Because I need to tell you something NOT to buy.
Sadly, MGD 64 Lemonade is just not good. In fact, it's very non-beer, and not nearly lemonade-y enough, if that makes sense. I suggest picking up Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy instead, and even though it has 130 calories, it's 130 calories of good...... In fact, I believe I'll be asking Mr. Sasha to stop by the liquor store and get me some today.
Anything new I need to try for Summer of Beer 2011?

No suggestions on what to buy, but I can only echo the MGD 64 Lemonade Beer. Ick. Ickickick. All I can say is that it tastes like what I would expect cold, carbonated pee would taste like. So much for trying something new. I'll stick with my Blue Moon. :)

Ok, not beer, but I have been doing a low carb thing and discovered this: vanilla vodka with caff free diet coke. YUMMMY! It is like drinking a vanilla coke (yet has a tinsy little kick--or not so tinsy if you make them like my hubby does). Word of advice though--they are almost too easy to drink (and yes that is from personal experience!).
Bummer! I had that on my list to try. I myself am not a big fan of Skinny Girl Margaritas. I've just been making mine with Tequila, Sprite Zero and Frozen Limeade.

I'm sad to hear about the MGD lemonade...I had high hopes for trying it. Do they still make Miller Chill? Their beer with lime flavor? That was a favorite and I 'think' only about 100 calories....similar to Bud Light Lime.

I've never liked anything Lemonade in a can anyway. Thanks for steering me clear of this one.
Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy is the best summer beer in my opinion. If you can find it on tap somewhere even better.
Ugh that sounds terrible! Have you had Shock Top? I LOVE it during the summer with an orange slice in it. If you are looking for something sweet (but not beer) the Skinny Girl Margaritas are delish!!
