The One Where Everyone Stares at Me

As I picked WC up off the ground at school pickup yesterday and carried her to the car, like a limp (but kicking) noodle, I felt eyes on me.

As we carried WC to the van, kicking and screaming, last Saturday night, after she repeatedly hurt another child, I felt eyes on me.

As we left a friend's house earlier than planned the weekend before, after she was mean to their daughter, I felt eyes on me.

I need to print a tshirt.

Yes, I know.

I promise we are working on it.

I promise we are in therapy.

I promise I am trying.....

I am so sorry..I always try and remember when I see something to look away..Cause you never ever know..As we have all had something that causes people to stare at us as mothers at one point in time!

I think most of us, as moms, worry that the world is judging us. Just know that your friends trust you, and they're the ones who have a bit of a right to draw such conclusions. :)

That must be so hard. Just keep working on it and it'll get better in time.

I am SO with you. The Manimal is my challenging child. Many a time have I dragged him (sometimes literally) from a restaurant (store, home, car) because of his behavior. I feel like I need to explain our life's story to everyone watching. Or I just want to look them in the eye and tell them to mind their own d@mn business.

Oh, Sasha, I am so sorry. I can't imagine how you feel. I will say a prayer for you and WC tonight. Hugs...

I was at Walmart and saw a dad struggling to get his daughter to sit down in the cart. She was out of control but he firmly held her down and kept repeating, "You have to sit or you could hurt yourself and go to the hospital." At that time I watched an elderly woman walk up to this dad and say, "You should be ashamed of yourself treating your daughter like that, I feel so sorry for her!"
I watched the dad shrug and say, "Lady, you shouldn't feel sorry for her, you should feel sorry for me!" I laughed so hard it hurt because I knew exactly how he was feeling and have never forgotten that scene. Hold your head high and know that you are doing the right thing!

Hang in there. You're a great momma. Anyone who has a child has been "that mom". I always HATE it when it's my turn!

Bless your heart. Before I was a Mom I wouldn't have understood but once you become one I think you completely understand. Hugs and prayers going your way!
